Under the NSART Gateway program, the first Kazakhstani space R&D laboratory has officially opened in Riyadh. The project was carried out by NSART, SpaceLab, and PNode with the support of QazTrade.
The laboratory focuses on the development and testing of next-generation satellite communication technologies. Priorities for 2026: satellite IoVIT terminals, IoT sensors, and telecommunications satellite solutions. The first pilot projects will start in the first half of 2026, with commercial scaling in the second half. The estimated export and investment impact is around $50 million.
This step strengthens cooperation between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia in the field of SpaceTech and aligns with both the Year of AI and High-Tech Exports declared in Kazakhstan and the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
