From 22 to 24 April 2026, Astana hosted the Regional Ecological Summit RES 2026 EXPO — an international exhibition of green technologies and sustainable solutions. The event was organised by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Centre. The NSART team attended the summit.
According to the organisers, the summit brought together more than 300 participants and representatives from over 30 countries across 12,000 m² of exhibition space. The programme was divided into eight thematic zones: energy, water, artificial intelligence and smart cities, waste management, carbon capture, ESG and green finance, agriculture and green construction.
For NSART the interest is a practical one. Green energy and computing infrastructure are adjacent subjects: our energy-and-data cluster project is designed around its own generation and cooling drawn from an LNG terminal — precisely the intersection of ecology and technology that the RES 2026 EXPO programme was built on.
A separate focus was artificial intelligence in urban and industrial infrastructure. We view the solutions presented in that zone both as a benchmark for our own products and as a source of potential partnerships in the region.
